About the hosts:
Ariann Burger

As Talent Acquisition Manager – International at Tierarzt Plus Partner, Ariann supports the recruitment of veterinary professionals from abroad and accompanies them throughout their journey to Germany — from the first conversation to a successful start in the practice.
With her multicultural background and a degree in Business Administration, Ariann joined Tierarzt Plus Partner in 2023 to help strengthen international recruiting and ensure that new colleagues feel supported and well guided during their relocation and integration process.
Meet Ariann at our booth to learn more about degree recognition requirements, the relocation process, and the most important steps for a smooth integration into life and work in Germany.
In her free time, Ariann enjoys traveling, dancing, and getting lost in a good book.
Sally Debus-Kunz

As Talent Acquisition Manager at Tierarzt Plus Partner, Sally specializes in connecting her passion for animal welfare with professional recruitment. With a background in Business Administration and Business Psychology, she ensures that the right talent finds its place within our growing network of practices.
Combining her academic expertise with a deep specialization in animal psychology, Sally joined the team in 2025 to manage recruitment across Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Baden-Württemberg, and Lower Saxony. She is also currently advancing her clinical knowledge by training as an animal health practitioner, allowing her to understand the veterinary field from both a business and a medical perspective.
Meet Sally to learn more about our graduate and internship programs, as well as the exciting opportunities and support available for those joining our new practice start-ups.
In her free time, she enjoys deepening her bond with animals, pursuing her studies in animal health, and staying active in the professional veterinary community.
Maximilian Berger

As Practice Manager in Munich, Maximilian combines clinical excellence with a deep-rooted passion for veterinary medicine. Since joining the Tierarzt Plus Partner network in 2023, he has brought his surgical precision and empathetic care to the team, stepping into his role as Practice Manager in July 2024.
Having grown up in a veterinary family, Maximilian’s path was clear from the start. After studying in Budapest and earning his degree, he refined his expertise in clinics across Germany. He now focuses on providing high-quality care to pets and their owners, with a special interest in soft tissue surgery and practice leadership.
Meet Maximilian at our booth to learn more about our network’s presence in Munich, the development opportunities within Tierarzt Plus Partner, and his experience transitioning into practice management.
In his free time Maximilian likes to be in the mountains skiing or hiking, he likes riding his bike and enjoys lazy Sunday afternoons with a nice cup of coffee, preferably a cappuccino and taking a walk with friends.

About Tierarzt Plus Partner
We are an active network of small animal practices and clinics throughout Germany. Our mission: “Together, we work to create the best experience for animals and people every day.”
For us, this means continuously improving working conditions for veterinarians and veterinary assistants (TFA). For example, we ensure family-friendly working hours, provide modern practice equipment and innovative technologies, and invest in our own internal continuing education academy. These investments strengthen our practice teams and sustainably enhance the experience for animals and clients alike.
Our community is characterized by the diversity within our network. We value one another and take into account the expertise and goals of every employee. To achieve this, we actively promote knowledge-sharing between our practices.
As a network, we are able to overcome the many challenges facing the industry—such as the shortage of skilled workers, high workloads, and outdated practices—to ensure sustainable animal health.
We are already active in many regions, where we maintain and create veterinary care structures. Since our founding in 2019, Tierarzt Plus Partner has established itself as a supra-regional network for veterinary practices.
Our central team in Berlin supports the local practice teams in the areas of practice management, marketing, HR, digitalization, and finance. Whether at our headquarters or on-site in the practice, we are united by our vision: “Living healthy veterinary medicine through partnership.”
Graduate Program
Tierarzt Plus Partner offers a structured Graduate Program (Berufseinsteigerprogramm) specifically designed for newly licensed veterinarians to ensure a smooth transition from university to professional practice in small animal medicine.
Key Highlights of the Program:
- Mentorship & Support: Instead of being „thrown into the deep end,“ graduates are assigned a personal mentor (an experienced veterinarian) who provides guidance during the initial weeks and months.
- Practical Training: The program focuses on „learning by doing“ with clinical rotations and hands-on experience in modern practices equipped with innovative technology.
- Structured Onboarding: New employees receive a welcome package, access to a dedicated employee app, and a clear integration plan even before their first day.
- Continuing Education: Participants benefit from the network’s internal academy, offering specialized seminars (e.g., in surgery or diagnostics) to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and clinical routine.
- Community & Networking: Being part of a nationwide network allows for regular knowledge exchange with peers and specialists across different locations.
- Work-Life Balance: The program emphasizes sustainable working conditions, including family-friendly hours and a supportive team environment.
The program is aimed at recently graduated veterinarians (frisch approbiert) looking for a secure and supportive environment to start their career in Germany, as well as students looking for internships or clinical placements.
Paid Internship Program
The website highlights that Tierarzt Plus Partner offers various internship opportunities for veterinary students and pupils to gain hands-on experience in a professional clinical environment.
Key Features of the Internship Program:
- Individualized Support: Interns are integrated into the daily routine of the practices and clinics, receiving guidance from experienced veterinarians and veterinary assistants (TFAs).
- Clinical Exposure: Depending on the level of experience, interns can observe and assist in consultations, diagnostics (X-ray, ultrasound, lab work), and surgical procedures.
- Network Benefits: Interns benefit from the network’s high standards and modern equipment, gaining insights into how a professional veterinary network operates.
- Flexible Durations: The program accommodates different types of internships, including:
- Student Internships (Schülerpraktikum): For career orientation.
- Mandatory Internships (Pflichtpraktikum): As part of the veterinary medicine curriculum (e.g., „Großes“ or „Kleines“ Praktikum).
- Voluntary Internships: For students who want to deepen their practical skills during semester breaks.
- Perspective: A successful internship often serves as a „stepping stone“ for a future career within the network, such as the Graduate Program.
The network aims to inspire the next generation of veterinarians by providing a welcoming, structured, and high-quality learning environment where practical skills are actively encouraged.
